AB9 QuadGT BIOS help

Thread Starter
Ok guy I am trying to flash my BIOS on my QuadGT to the new 1.4 BIOS update. I format my floppy drive but there is not enough room on the floppy to add the BIOS file needed. I need 1.05MB of space but there is only 865mb free. I have tried getting help from Abit but as any Abit user knows I have a better chance of getting the answer by smashing my head against a wall, which is about where I am at as of right now.

I want to make it so I can boot from a CD but I tried and can't get it to boot. All I did was copy the Bios file to a CD and burn it. The thing is that the CD won't boot it takes me straight to windows. Please don't ask if I set up the boot sequence in the BIOS. You guys are my last hope as abit support suck mucho D**K.

Use one floppy for your boot and another floppy for your bios and awdflash utility. You should have enough space then.

Ahh I would leave it open or atleast still here, I had the same issue when I was doing it hence how I learned how to do it. I am sure other people will have the same question.

Let us know how the bios works out. I need to update my quadgt one of these days since its bios is pretty old now I jsut havnt had time to mess with my water cooling and that board in a while.

You created a boot disk in XP didn't you?
& XP put some unnecessary, hidden files on it.
Delete those & you'll have room for the BIOS files & those that are necessary.
Or get the driver free DRDOS bootdisk from www.bootdisk.com
or you could do it from a bootable USB memory stick.
or using FlashMenu

You could even have asked on the abit USA forums ...
