Thread Starter
I now have this ASUS P5KC board and I'm looking at getting a new CPU, This E6550 has a 1333 FSB, which seems good for this board as it supports it. Any thoughts or opinions would be appreciated.
I found more info, here is the link

Go for it. If you're on a budget, the E6550 will definitely not let you down, except if I were to have your system? I'd OC'd to at least 435fsb.

Will boards with FSB's of only 1066 support the E6550? Will it be noticeably slower if it is supported?

I'm looking at the Gigabyte DS3.

E6550 looks really nice, besides the 7x multi. But with some nice ram, that shouldn't be an issue.
