Just Received Koolance WB for 2900xt - Page 2

What kind of hardware is in your loop? radiator, pump, hose dimension? Also awesome score on 06, are you still on the stock voltage for the video card? It might not be able to be increased, I havent used a newer bios or pci-e yet.

It has its own dedicated setup, pretty much everything that used to be on my CPU:
Swiftech MCR-220
Laing DDC-3.2
3/8" tubing.

It would be worth it to just drop the temps, this thing was making me nervous idling at 60-65c

60-65 is awfully high idle temp. Mine idles around 45-48C. I noticed a weird thing though, when I have Rivatuner open it idles a few more degrees higher. I wonder why that is?

Probably because it accesses the chips on the card? not sure.

and yes, it was a kind of high idle, im not sure why it was so high, my case is/was cool. All better now though.

zomg, I'm so jealous lol. Never really considered getting a full block (too expensive), but after seeing your temps, wow! I was planning on a MCW60+ramsinks, since it's the best . And I'm not too excited about koolance at all....

MCR220 eh? I got that same rad! What fans do you have on it?

and your not running a cpu in the loop are you? I was thinking of running a q6600 g0.

have you tried 900/1000?

I have some 43CFMs on it, I like quiet.

My CPU is on its own loop. It will be running a Q6600 G0 soon enough, =)

Have not tried 900/1000, give me a minute and I will though.

cool lol, I wonder how this block compares to an MCW60 and the DD full block that's been on their front page FOREVER!

you know you can use ATI tool's newest version to find a safe max cpu/mem clock? (just let it run for an hour till it settles out)

lol it cracked me up when I first got the ati tool (latest) and turned the fan on 100%, its like a blow dryer!! turns out 3d mode only puts it at 38%

I was waiting for the DD block, but to be honest, I got tired of waiting. I was going to switch my current CPU setup to the GPU and build a new one for a quadcore. Well the quad hopefully will be in next week and its too late for DD. Maybe if they show great performance I'd consider switching it up, but for now, I'm very happy with Koolance.
