X1650 Pro Problem

Well, this problem popped up probably about 3 or 4 days ago. I was rendering a video on Adobe Premiere Pro and left to go watch a movie. I came back, probably about 2 hours later and the video was finished rendering. However, I noticed that strangely colored blocks of green, yellow, and pink were randomly appearing on my screen. I restarted, and saw that now whenever I boot up, there are just rows and rows of those same colors going up and down the screen, completely randomized (they fill the screen). I can work around it (you can kind of see through the blocks) and figured it was a graphics card issue, so I went into Windows to see what the problem was. Now, whenever I go into Windows with my monitor plugged into the graphics card, my monitor's settings are completely reset to 640x480, 4 bit res (whatever is the lowest possible setting) and those same strips of green, yellow, and pink are still there, filling the screen.

I've been getting around this by just plugging my monitor into the motherboard's display output, but now everything related to graphics and video has slowed significantly and I'm getting tired of being unable to use my card, since I paid about $200 for it only 4 months ago. I haven't overclocked it or anything. I've tried reinstalling drivers, but I'm unable to do it while the graphics card is hooked in. When I run off the motherboard, I can reinstall them fine. Also, I went to print screen a screen grab so I could specifically show you guys what's wrong with it visually, but when I viewed the image under normal conditions, the colored strips did not show up.

My specs:
Windows Vista Ultimate - 32-bit
Emachines T5048
200 & 250 GB Western Digital HDs
2 GBs RAM
Pentium 4 3.00 GHz
Dell 19" Monitor

I do a lot of video editing on this machine, if that would affect anything. I don't game much or do anything like that. I've got no idea what's wrong. If you guys need any more information to help me out with this, I'd be more than willing to provide it.

Thanks in advance.

I had this with another ATi card. I plugged another, then 6 months later I tried the other and it worked again.
Hard to think where you could start looking, but if you get that sort of error after leaving the PC under load, it could be a cooling ussue. If they still show up even under 640x480 4bit settings, the card maybe damaged.
If it's under garantie, change it maybe?

Thanks for the advice and help.

Anyways, is there any way I could use the card on the machine and not use it as a display adapter? I think it probably still works, I just can't use it to display anything on my monitor.

I also think this is a heat issue and it damaged your card. Just a curious question, can your powersupply actually handle so many components since its only stock from emachines?
