8800 GTS capacitor snapped off, can it be replaced? - Page 5

Leads- SHORT wires in between the board and capacitor. (Not ideal, but EASY, and it should work great)

ohh right, got it.

anways, did some searching and came across this:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/4-Sanyo-SEP-16...QQcmdZViewItem

it is as well a 16V 180UF capacitor, on the SEP series, which is 'apprantly' a radial lead type using conductive polymer based on the SVP series, which is the series on my board.

thats all the relevant information i know altogether, but for the rest, i am not sure, and hoping someone can tell me if the rest is important or not, or if they are on par. its for 4 pieces, and dont mind ordering it from the US. as i cannot find it in Maplin on their website.

can someone tell me if this is what im looking for?

Those are NOT the same capacitors. Look at the first number. They are different, sorry buddy. Keep looking. I will call my local radio shack and see if they have one. If they do I can pick it up and ship it for you if you want.

UPDATE: no luck at radio shack. will do some checking online for you.

O.K. I can't find anything anywhere. Go to badcaps.com and sign up for the forum there. They WILL be able to help you. Talk to a guy name Big Pope. He's the man over there.

If you need a contact in the states for any reason, just shoot me a PM, I'm willing to help for free.

The one I pointed out and the one you found will more than likely work fine. The first number is the case number.

Sanyo OSCON caps are really hard to find. If you need the exact cap, go here:
http://www.capacitorsplus.com/oscon.htm
check inventory for part number 16SVP180M

Believe the spec sheet. The only difference between the svp series and the sep series is the mount. Radial axial lead vs. smd.

anyone?

btw, i found a SVP caps on ebay, not the exact one but close:

http://cgi.ebay.com/4-Sanyo-SVP-10V-...sid=p1638.m118

probably i can ask the seller if he's selling the ones im looking for, or may i ask, can i just get the SEP ones? otherwise does it have to be exactly the same as the ones on the graphic card board?
