Thread Starter
im getting two YS tech fans to put besides my thermal 120 extreme cooler to make the most out of air flow, so i need a controller to get even more juice out of it. i dont know anything about controllers, so what controller should i buy that would work with the fan (3pin connector but i can get a 3pin to 4pin if needed) thanks alot!

Zalman ZM-MFC-1 (or the plus version)

This is the best bang for the buck with these specs:

-Tactile click from power off position
- Handles 20Watts per channel
- Brushed aluminum finish
- Solid construction
- Consistent knob resistance

I own 2 of these with zero complaints.

I second this recommendation, along with the pros listed above.

For the price (my gosh, it's cheap as hell for all that it is!), aesthetics, functionality, and any other pragmatic considerations, this is also my favorite fan controller.

(As an aside, I'd like to mention one aspect in particular: 20W per channel is pretty conservative in my opinion, considering that I'm testing two of these sharing one channel on a customer's rig, just to see if the controller can do it. The fan's specs cite that it needs 12.0 watts for maximum output; the controller can rev two of these on one channel on a Y-splitter!)
