Kinda torn here....which GTS to get? - Page 4

For the currently DX9 games, theres not much improvement with 640MB over 320MB.

I recommend to go with an eVGA 320MB now if you want to save a bit of $$ and then step up in a few month.

I'm in the exact same boat, but I pretty much ruled out the 640mb. We know that both cards are more than adequate for DX9. We have little idea what DX10 is going to do. I highly doubt that the 640mb will be great with DX10, and that the 320mb will be horrible. Chances are that both versions will either be good or bad in DX10. Hell, maybe playing games in DX10 with the GTX might look like a slide show. If I were you, I would concentrate on what the benchmarks say, not necessarily what individual people say. People that tend to say, "go for the 640mb", have the 640MB. If your buying a card solely for DX10, I don't think the ideal card exists yet.

My 320 KO @ 660/2100, CPU @ 3978.
Barely a difference in benchmarks.
Now gaming is a different story, both cards excelled in XP.
Where the GTX really pulled away was Vista and Lost Planet in DX10.
I could max out the settings in Vista with the GTX, but not the GTS KO.
My res is 1680x1050, I only compared LP because every other game I play I can max out easily wit the GTS.
Either card would do, you know depends on your budget and how much eyecandy you want in the future.
I had Crysis and WIC in mind when I bought the GTX, plus it was a great price.
Price cut, I heard late this year or early next year.

Did you read my earlier post?
I know LP is not native DX10, but if it's at all of indicative of how DX10 will push cards, the 640 or a GTX is the way to go for the most eyecandy. IMO
