Idk, in the UK, the 6000+ is going for around £100, yet the cheapest E6600 I can find goes for at least 33% more, yet, afaik, stock for stock, the 6000+ competes pretty well with the E6600..? Sure, the E6600 will overclock 20%+ over stock with very little trouble, while the 6000+ isn't AMDs best overclocking chip, but, if you're not going to overclock, the 6000+ is way better value, a real budget chip imo. Of course, you could get some other 2x1MB cache AMD with a lower stock core speed and o/c it to 6000+ speeds, therefore getting even better value, but even still, the 6000+ is not exactly expensive, compared to it's Intel equivalent stock for stock.

My money is still on the 6000+, if you don't intend to o/c .

Highly-Annoyed

Uhh, no idea what that means. But A Commando SHOULD, I mean, come on, it's...

A COMMANDO.

an E6600 shouldn't even be considered anyway. i've been lobbying against overclockers buying them for a while now, as they can't realiably reach 400 FSB on air. most E6600 owners just end up lowering their multiplier, which essentially makes their CPU an overpriced E6420.

You've probably made up your mind by now...
I'd throw down on the 4000+ Brisbane for far less money and OC it to over 3G with that MB!

Part # ADO4000DDBOX
Its $123 AU @ http://www.auspcmarket.com.au/
Take the savings and perhaps get some higher end RAM.

get the e6420...the first day i got my comp i set it to 3.0ghz @ 1.38v and its now standing at 3.12ghz @ 1.38v ....186$ when i bought it...maybe cheaper now and is running close as hell to a oced e6600 if not, on par with it.
this cpu is capable of reaching so much more if i just had a aftermarket cooler i'd easily reach 3.5+ (i can reach 3.4 @ higher voltage/60+C temps =( )
