I have a mix between IE6 and IE7 RC1 files, and it doesn't work at all.

Firefox/Safari work fine though

Don't think the "autoupdate" works in anything other than IE though does it?
lol, uhm you mean autoupdate of windows? That´ll work. It doesn´t need IE. And if Firefox works, then you are fine I personally never used it, so I can´t say how it is...I always use IE

i meant the autoupdate on creatives site.

And i'll give you a hint - unless they added ActiveX support to Firefox recently then neither Creative or Windows Update will work

Then I would say try each webbrowser. Because I never used something else instead of IE. And that link the other guy gave, it does work...but because you don´t have IE it wont work. It worth the try, otherwise you really have to fix IE

Can´t you just find a torrent of the CD? Or is that illegal?

You will probably find this very useful: http://www.freewebs.com/spectra9/ReadmeFramed.htm

It is a piece of software that automatically changes the X-Fi mode so you don't have to do it manually. Its possible to set up software profiles, for example on my PC, when i open WMP, it switches to entertainment mode, and when i open BF2, it switches to Game mode. However, it is easily confused when you try and run programs with different modes set together. But that doesn't happen much to me.

Enjoy!

And, i got a refurbished X-Fi, and i haven't been able to find any software for it so your not alone!

I can't install IE, if i install i loose Explorer and it fecks up midway through installation.

You might think i just need to re-isntall it or something, but it took 2 hours of finding DLL's of t3h internet and off other PC's to get my rig up again, i'm not risking it again for IE, especially as i'm sure the software isn't on their site, only the drivers
