Will sata 2 on raid 0 provide better performance?

currently i have 2 seagate hard disks ST3320820AS (320 GB, 7200 RPM, SATA-II) and ST3200826AS (200 GB, 7200 RPM, SATA) . I am planning to get another hard drive but i dont know which to get. Will sata 2 on raid 0 provide better performance? I am planning to make the other disk ( the one not on raid 0 ) as a backup for my important files. Currently my OS is using the 320gb hard disk, will i have to reinstall windows if i choose to use the 320gb hard disk? And is it easy to set up raid 0 using my motherboard? Last question, when im already in raid 0 will performance decrease when i put a lot of files and programs on it? I have noticed that on a fresh install everything is lightning fast, but when i started putting on music movies programs and games everything slows down. Thank you in advance!!!

You would probably only be able to tell in HDD benchmarks, real life maybe not very obvious.
You will have to reinstall your OS.
I never noticed a performance drop when more junk was added.

I noticed an increase with computer boot times, other than that it is hard to tell.
There isn't a performance drop when you add more stuff
It was quite easy to set up my RAID once I figured out what I was doing. Future setups will be a breeze...just read the instructions and fittle around a little and you should get it.

The ONLY problem i ran into with my RAID card was after I got windows installed and I decided to update the drivers, the computer would BSOD. I had to boot from the windows disc and roll the computer back to its previous state.

that shouldn't be an issue, your processor is PLENTY powerful enough to deal with the small number of calculations involved with RAID 0
GO FOR IT and tell us how it goes!
