Tuniq mounted horizontally in the Antec 900

Before buying the Tuniq tower I read in a few places that I wouldn't be able to keep my side intake fan, which disappointed me a little; I like the idea of some cool air blowing on to my graphics card and north and south bridges.

As you probably know the Antec 900 has a nice 200mm top exhaust fan, so I thought I'd mount the Tuniq horizontally, so that the heat was directed upwards into the top exhaust.

This allowed me to keep my side intake fan, it fits in just underneath the Tuniq, and the top corner is actually between the waves on the edge of the heatsink.

With the side fan on medium, it is not only blowing cool air onto the motherboard and other parts but also right in front of the Tuniq.

A thin application of AS5 later and my load temps haven't gone above 43C (ambient 25C), overclocking to 3.1Ghz at 1.4Vcore.

Thanks for my first ever rep!

Here's some pics. Note the women's stocking over the intake fan - best filters ever!

I didn't think about doing that... I don't have the side fan on and am still passively cooling my 8800 so I don't think I really need to remout the Tuniq.

But good work.
