Suggestions? Best mobo for OCing Q6600 w/G0 stepping

Thread Starter
Any Suggestions, I'm getting a Q6600 w/ G0 stepping and want to get another 8800GTS 640 so SLI is a must. But I'm torn between motherboards, Whats the best 680i OCing mobo in your opinions? X38 is not an option as I can't wait any longer.

I hear the EVGA 680i A1 is a pretty nice board for what you are looking for.

Don't the new ASUS P5K boards do excellent with overclocking because of the P35 chipset? I haven't looked into it much but i believe a P5k is the best way to go

Yeah I would go P35 but I want SLI...Or is that just silly?

The P5K-Dlx is a really good overclocker for Quads but you won't get the full benifit of SLI (only 16x/4x PCIE slots). I think the EVGA 680i is your best bet right now and is a decent overclocker board from what I've read. The X38 is what you really want, just isn't out yet.

The P5K Deluxe/WiFi-AP is the best overclocking motherboard for Quads; besides it's DDR3 cousin the P5K3. The eVGA will not get your FSB nearly as high as you can go with a P35 Chipset board. A lot of members on this forum (including CyberDruid) have passed 400FSB with their P5K's.
