EVGA 680i is almost as good for FSB and you get SLI.

P5K is a good choice too but every board is going to have kinks to work out, as the EVGA boards did when they first showed up.

Well Q6600's won't be hitting the same FSB's as most E6XXX processors, so just about any P965 / 975X / P35 / 680i / X38 motherboard should do it...

I'm having a hard time choosing between going SLI or not going SLI! How much better would the p35 chipset be for my Q6600?

Seriously, if it were me and I wanted a Q6600 with SLI right now I would get the 680i board. You can always change the board out to the X38 in a year or so, but you will have the most expensive parts up and running. I doubt a little less OC on a quad with a good SLI board is going to make a big difference.

Or get the P35 board and wait on the 2nd video card until the X38 boards come out. The P5K vanilla is only $150ish.

Don't forget the PCI-E2's are coming out and DDR3 will be the norm in 6 months. Oh how I love making decisions.

I am 99% sure I want the Abit IP35, seems to be the gest OCer with FSB passing 500 not that my CPU could do it but my RAM can. Seriously the only single reason I haven't bought it yet is the SLI compatibility. It is probably possible to run SLI but probably need custom/modded drivers... not to sure. To be hoest I will most likely just get it and say screw the SLI, really it's not needed. I will most likely just buy an x2900 XT (XTX if it's out) anich should play anything just fine.

P5k Deluxe FTW.

If you've heard alot of stuff about buggy bios and that kind of garbage, dont listen to it...their owners are just tools. Just make sure that you update the BIOS thru EZFlash via USB Thumb drive and DON'T, i repeat DON'T use the SATA cables that come with the mobo, as they don't work. Trust me i spent most of friday night testing all of them.

Other than that, i love the mobo.
