New PC $1000~ budget

Thread Starter
ok so basicly i asked some questions in the past about my friend upgrading his PC only to find out its OEM and cant be changed

so anyway he has givin me a $1000 budget to build him a PC and another $100 for me to build it for him

as a friend id rather do it free so i fugre $1000 budget and the other $100 will cover shipping ect

so anyway whats the best AMD setup i can do Tower only for ~$1000

he has 24" lcd and keyb mouse and all that so i need to build tower only

a few things about paul

he likes to do video editing so needs alot of ram and proc power

he likes games but mostly games console so it dont need to be a gameing setup (which im more familiar with)

which is why i need advice lol

thanks

edit-never mind i just noticed this is in amd lol. and quad isnt amd lol

I get you a sweet build. Does it have to be AMD cause I can pull of a sweet Quad Core rig?

then i built a quad core for $676 before shipping. but with the extra gap you could get a better mobo as i have a ecs in this list(not for quad but c2d) and 2gig of supertalents that overclock beyond ddr2-1000

its not the siggy, here ill list it out. i didnt get a video card becasue this wasnt a gaming build, the ecs has onboard video, but you could get a cheap vid card for a better mobo

psu that i was told will run the quad overclocked with an 8800gts
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817341010

and like i said youd need another mobo as this wont run quad it will run dual core though. i plan on buying all this and giving the customer my e6300, but at the added price you could get a p5b deluxe or better
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813135052

as for case me and the customer havent decided yet so add another 50 to the price or more depending on case
