Speedfan

Ok I know what you're thinking.. "Oh jeez not ANOTHER Speedfan question".. But i'm afraid so, searched high and low and found nowt. Plus, mine has a picture with it, so it'll be visually pleasing to all.

Anyways. I've got Speedfan, and well, i can only control the CPU fan (Running a Freezer 7 Pro, idles at about 35ish..). I plug my push/pull case fans into the 3-pin sockets on my motherboard (P5NSLI) but they stay at 100% and are damn loud.

Also, as the picture will show, Fan 1 speed: 13500000 RPM... EH?! .. No, that's not right.

Anyways, here's the picture:

Any suggestions?

[edit] Just remembered i bought an Akasa 3.5" Fan Controller yesterday, which will be here in a few days. I can use this, however i'd much rather have it software controlled, keep my case neat and tidy an awl that like..

One more thing, which values are default for which components? I've found out through trial and error that Fan1 is the CPU, but i can't be arsed to find out the rest.. Does anybody know?[/edit]

Im not 100% but I think you have to disable the 'Quiet Fan' option in your bios to enable the fans to be manually changed. Im sure someone else will chip in though.

Nope, no luck. Here's the new Speedfan with the Q-Fan thing set to OFF. Doin' my nut in now.

Here she be anyways... Renamed all the fans back to defaults again too.

Ok do this:

Place a check mark in the "Automatic Fan Speed" box that is below the "Configure" button.

Click "Configure" and the click on the "Speeds" tab.

Select a fan and set the max and Min settings of your choice.

Also you may have to change the Fan control to 'Software' under the advance tab of 'Configure'.
