Hrmm... Ebay sounds like a good idea... but how do I know I won't get ripped off? Also, do you purchase a used one and if so how do you verify that it's in the described condition after you get it?

it all depends on their feedback and how much feedback they have, read their feedback to get some ideas about the seller

The xt is the bang for the buck,as for the 8800's...am not getting 1 until i really need it & that will be next year or so.the only how ill get an 8800 is if Soldier Of Fortune 3 comes out before next year cause i know it will be dx10.

Anyway u guys saying that my 7900gs wont last me until next year?i bet it will..unless am forced to get dx10 before next year.

But in a way fishie is right...the only card thats 100% future proof is the 8800's...but why get it now & it will be even cheaper in the times when we really need it...i know why tho, when next year comes people wanna say they had the card since last year & only now we getting it or they just wanna say they got the best card on the market, but they still not putting it to use without dx10 games...but we gonna pay atleast $150-200 less than them & will be putting it to use the same time as them while its fresh.theres gonna be almost an year old & just started putting it to use.

The point is....get the 8800 if u wanna brag about benchmarking thats all is being put to use for at this point.

Just an update for all the people interested in buying a 1950xt. Newegg is selling a Sapphire 256 mb version of the x1950xt for about $150 with rebate, which I think is really neat. It was just 200 bucks 180 with rebate a day or two ago...

Anyways, I also tried out the whole ebay thing and I just find that it's not worth it to wait around several days and perhaps pay the equivalent amount of a new card on a used one. That's just my experience, usually people are also looking for steals and that just drives the price up.
