Worth Replacing Fans?

Thread Starter
I am going to get a Thermaltake Kandalf Case (Just like Armour but looks better) and I am uncertain whether to replace the fans or not! I want to get 2 Scythe S-FLEX SFF21F 120mm Fans and maybe 2 Thermaltake 90mm Blue LED fans.

I want these as I hope it should improve airflow and make the case quieter... but are the original fans good enough or not?

Also is it really worth spending £35 ($70) on just case fans?
Thanks

i'd stick with the fans that come with the case. you might want to ADD some, but replacing isnt worth the money.

Definitely add some, it only has 3ish fans (The top one is kind of useless). The one on the hard drive cage doesn't do a whole lot for your overall temperatures either, so you're looking at one intake and one out. If you feel safe about it, I'd suggest a medium cfm fan for intake on the top - you just have to watch out for dust that way, which does suck - but it is a large case and it can get very hot if there's stagnant air. So the more air you can add to the case the better, who cares how it gets there. And if you want to take one more step, I'd even recommend getting a 5.25 bay fan, you won't be sorry.

Definitely worth it to upgrade the fans IMO. My Armor's fans didn't push any air whatsoever, atleast compared to the 3rd party fans I bought upon arrival of my Armor.

Try to get your hands on some Yate Loons; very good price for a quality fan.

OR, if you have a higher budget..

Go for some SilenX fans. There's a couple of reviews here on OCN if you want to check them out. Although their ratings may not be 100% accurate, they are some of the quietest fans on the market and they do push a good amount of air.
