I can only get the fsb to 210 (only 10 more than normal -.-) before my system won't boot...

It actually does boot, but without video because I spam my delete key, hit "f12, Y, enter...F10, Y, enter" to load bios from cmos, then save and exit, then my system loads with reset cmos...so it will still boot into bios, but without video..

this is with gigabyte ds3

@_@" That's really strange. What vcore are you set at? Vcore = CPU Voltage.

Set the following and try to overclock again.
PCI-E Freqency - 100MHz
System Memory Multiplier - 2.0

My RAM is rated 1.9~2.0v. Default voltage for RAM on the DS3 is 1.8, so raise the RAM by +0.1v to keep stable at whichever your RAM is rated by.

K thanks, i'll try it

But when the multiplier is set to 2.0...my memory is set to 400 instead of 800?

Only one problem though...
I'm an idiot when it comes to PSUs, but whenever i'm loading something, my -5V has dropped to -7.77V...is that..bad?

Do not look at any of the voltage that SpeedFan says. I don't even trust it for my temps.

For temps, you want to use TAT and/or CoreTemp 0.94 (0.95 is buggy).

For CPU speed, get CPU-Z.

For load temps AND CPU stability tester, get Orthos.

For Orthos, select Stress CPU with Gromics in the drop down box and start stressing.

DO NOT exceed 60C Orthos load.

The speed that window shows in incorrect, mine is too.

You may realize that your speed is lower than your overclock when you are idle. That is fine and nothing to worry over about. There is an option called CPU Enhancement (C1E) in the Advance option of your BIOS. This feature clocks and power save when you are idle and jumps back to max speed whenever you load anything.

You are on a roll, my friend.

When stressing with Orthos, TAT shows 65C/63C for core1/core2 respectively, while coretemp shows 52C/51C...

Which should I trust?

Um..., there is one more program that you should look at as well for temps.

EVEREST 2007 Beta

Download > Install > Open EVEREST > Select Computer on the left > Select Sensors

CPU - Do not look at this
CPU #1 / Core # 1 - Look at this
CPU #2 / Core # 2 - Look at this

If EVEREST shows temps similar to TAT or CoreTemp, trust both of them and forget the other.

EDIT: Oh btw, on CoreTemp, what is your T-Junction? 100C or 85C?
