A No.2 pencil will work just fine.
Just make sure you sharpen the pencil before you mod, because the sharper the tip, the easier it is to shade a tiny resistor.

It is not recommended to voltmod with the stock HSF, but you can as long as you keep the temperatures low.

Offtopic: Death, when did you stop writing in red letters?

Yea it should.

But i highly advise you not to voltmod with stock cooling.

It will honestly not be enough.

Invest in a custom cooler before you voltmod the card.

Hmmm.. All I need is a pencil to mod? no fancy pens, markers and such? okay.

I want to voltmod because I get artifacting at 600Mhz with 75C under ATI tools load. And this 7900 was sent 3 days ago... I think it needs more volts.

No offense bud, but seriously. If it's artifacting why are you keeping the OC. Just drop it down to say 550, that's what, 20-30FPS in ATITool, 1-2 IRL games?

As for a vCore mod, you need conductive ink(FrozenCPU has them) and for vMem, you can use a pencil.

And listen to us too. I had my 7900GS at 700/1800 and my load temps were at stock temps with the stock cooler(55-60°C). If you volt mod with the stock cooler I can guarantee you'll hit 100°C
