Thread Starter
I tried listening to sample music on amazon.com and it didnt work. I then downloaded realplayer and it says there is no decoder. What do I do to get a free media player to work on it?

Also, I downloaded aim and after installing, there is an icon on the desktop but when you click it, it says file cant be found. ??

First, what distro?

You need to install media codecs. Are you using ubuntu?

If so, what version? If Ubuntu 7.04, here is a link on how to enable multimedia.

I just used that 2 days ago. It all works.. If you dont get part of that, PM me.

If you have another distro... Just elaborate

And these aren't flaws.. Linux is FREE.. So it is technically illegal to bundle mp3 etc support with it.. (Free formats like ogg work out of the box.)

Media software:

For streaming, I like VLC and Audacious

For my music collection, I LOVE Amarok
