Who cares? Like anyone needs 700Mhz Core for gaming.....
Your eloquence in debates emerges once again.

I am merely trying to distinguish the Ultra as more than an "OVERCLOCKED" GTX.

Me too.
i was never contesting that an ultra doesnt have higher OC potential. i think you misunderstand what im trying to get at here. an extra 40 some odd mhz and 5c cooler temps doesnt justify a 200 dollar mark up. i believe that i get more bang for my buck with the GTXs

furthermore, my ego doesnt allow me to back down from a challenge, so ill take you up on that. as soon as i RMA my kenny, ill spin it up and see where i land on the bench. i know i have very little chance of even matching your score, but ill give it the old college try

Ultras do have higher clockability, but is it worth the premium? Not in my book no....

A GTX can easily do Ultra Speeds and beyond. It depends on what Ultras your talking about.....

Cognoscenti and Nitteo both have Ultra XXX editions i believe. And to be honest no GTX can touch them. Regardless of the volt mods and cooling in place.

Although, it would be interesting how far my Gainwards can go....

Neither do i, but Cog does - she has enough money to buy a top of the line PC and the Ultra IS a better card, NO-ONE can dispute that.

It's like the QX6800 vs QX6700, sure to MOST of us the 6800 is REALLY overpriced for a tiny improvement, but if you've got the cash and the rest of your PC is 1337, why not?

Thanks Well said!

You wont find me laughing at people with GTX's ,GTS cards or 6800 cards whatever but apparently its acceptable to bag out people who dont mind spending $1000 for EACH Ultra...

really sucks for the 97% of the OCN populous that builds on a tight budget. not everyone can afford to drop 1600 bucks on gpus and another grand on a proc.

i had to spend a year in the desert to get my setup..and it whiped out 1/4 of my bones that i saved high end PC building is NOT economical, and never will be.

More actually...

£510 each (shipped) which equates to over $1000 each

My deal is I enjoy playing with new things, not once they are 2 1/2 years old.
Theres no harm in that.
