Yup, and i would kill for her setup, even if i had to "make do" with a single GTX, but at the same time my PC does everything i want it to on high so while i could afford a Quad Core / Ultra build i see no point as soon enough they prices will drop.

It's her money, and she's not stupid enough to buy something if it has no improvement. To most people money is worth "more" to them as the extra premium of an Ultra compared to what they earn is more, whereas for Cog (jeez i wish i had a better name to refer to her by!) she has more money and the premium of an Ultra is a lot less, making it seem like a better "deal".

Plus she's got enough cash that she might as well.

Anyone who's having a go at someone because they're rich enough to buy the best PC available today needs to stop being jealous and get over themselves

Very well said. I could get Ultras myself, but i saw no need for them to be honest. GTX's are more than capable .

trust me, i have nothing to be jealous over with my setup. this is a machine ive only dreamed of a while back. im just saying, and referring back to the original topic, that to me, ultras ARE NOT worth it. period. and i REALLY dont care if someones wealthy enough to by 2 of em, because IT DOESNT EFFECT how i play games and mess with my system

First of all, the ultras aren't 200$ more than GTX's. Just shut up. You're using invalid facts to back up an argument. They are less than 100$ more than GTX's here in the U.S.

Was it worth the gains before? No. After the price cuts? Hell yes.

Not to mention, all the arguments stemming from the GTX SLI owners are the lack of FPS gain in real world situations. In that case, you're all idiots in your own logic, because a single overclocked GTX can handle nearly anything.
