No, not really. That X2 4200+ you have is a great processor and not bottlenecking your 8600GTS at all IMO.

It's just that that they are using faster processors, which will improve their overall 3Dmark score. The Techspot review used an e6700 and scored 5786 with a 8600GTS. Your score was 5455 3dmarks - this is very impressive indeed, considering your processor isn't quite as fast.

Sorry, I had to go water my plants...

But yeah, no problem. I'd upload the pics at Imageshack, then right click the image and click "view picture" so it is the only thing in your browser. Then copy the code from the box (http ://xxx .xxxxx.xxx) and type this:

put that into your post and it should show up.

EDIT: If you want to show us your 3DMark06 score, you could just give us the link - that would work too. Whatever you want to do.

Here you go: http://service.futuremark.com/orb/re...0&UID=10245889

BTW, how can you see if your card needs a voltmod to clock it higher? I already googled it and looked at some guides, so help would be appreciated.

Hmm... I'm no expert at voltmodding video cards, I've actually never done it myself. I know that it can be a tricky business, though. You should keep in mind there's a possibility of destroying your card in the process.

I'd search the forums here for vold modding the 8600 series, or possibly create a new thread if you can't find any info.... maybe someone else can give you some advice.

Well, I'm not really planning on voltmodding, I was just wandering how you can see that your GPU needs a voltmod to be clocked higher.

BTW, are you certain that my CPU isn't bottlenecking my GPU, because the last time I overclocked the core I didn't really see a significant performance-increase.

Yep the 8600GT's are great cards, there cheap but can handle mostly a lot of games without a problem,But i woudn't use this card for DX10.Even though its DX10 im using it for Dx9 for now until really the new G92 or 9800 series comes out then ill get it for DX10.
