Hmmm...
Samsung makes AWESOME Desktop and Graphics card RAM...
ATI makes AWESOME GPU's...
AMD makes GREAT CPU's...

Fusion is going to be a CPU+GPU
Fusion 2??? CPU+GPU+RAM??? It's possible! I read about it in an old PCMAG article.

If you remember K7 and K6 so well, can I see some on your opinion that intel was ahead of K7? If I'm not mistaken, K7 was on top throughout it's life cycle.

I think that hole you've been digging yourself is getting deeper. Yeah, losing even more tech would be great for the US economy.

The K8 rolled in and made Intel CPU's look pretty sheepish.

@The Duke, I thought it ended at the beginning of 2008/end of '07? Are you sure its through 2008? Can you link to me proof? Not to be hostile, I just want the genuine answer.

Sigh... the only thing that I can add to this basically pointless discussion about a rumor is the fact that Samsung is a Korean company and they pwnd the USA... As for Samsung... I would definitly not doubt there ability to purchase AMD and make a success of it (not that I am saying AMD isn't a success...)
