People on here really arn't business savy. You think they charge x amount and put it in their pocket? a Business has things called overheads.. Read up.. Even when they walk away with a good profit, still have to think of the future reinvestment, advertising ect. Their prices seem pretty fair when you think of other service industries. I'm sure there are forums out there were people are saying "crap, that garage charges $400 to swap a cam belt and redo the timing on your car" we'll Im afraid I'm paying $400 as I don't know how to change a cam belt.

I used to work for Verizon DSL Tech Support, I couldn't tell you how many Geek Squad guys would call us to help them fix the persons Internet Connection. And I bet they still charged the person for fixing it too. I had heard about the guy from California Geek Squad taping that chick, I think it was when I was living in So Cal at the time, but since moved back to Indiana. I will NEVER go to Best Buy for anything. I go through NewEgg for all my computer stuff.

They would not be overpaying if the geeksquad could on average perform the service requested and not bs around, because they just don't know the problem. They have too many "Geeks" that don't know what the hell to do. So yes they over charge the cust on average, but if they paid a decent wage and got employees that can really help "most of the time" they could even charge more. Our local BB does not have 1 Geek that makes more than the poverty wage, and that is why they leave and a new Geek starts with no exp...
