try reseating the card, my buddies 7950gt would not spin after
a trip in his car, and he reseated it and everything worked out fine

and make sure there are no grounds
try taking off any passthroughs you might use for fans,
cause i saw a pass through prevent a whole mb from posting.
trying unplugging everything bought your 24 pin/4 pin for omother board
and the 8800's 6 pin. try switching the 6 pins. if you have a multi meeter,
check the volts on the 6 pin

So you just now spent your money on such an expensive power supply when a $40 dollar one coulda run your rig fine, why didn't you get a C2D or a new mobo instead?

On the PS testing, if this becomes necessary.
1. Disconnect the PS from everything except the wall.
2. Use a wire or paper clip to jump the only "green" wire to any black on the 24 pin connector. This will turn on the PS.
The formfactor.asp link will provide the "ATX" form factor specs and on about page 34 or the ATX ver 2.x you will find the pin outs, or drawings of the connections and there voltages.
Set the volt meters black connection on any black and touch the volt meters red to the indicated 3v, 5v, and 12v connections.
Not to worry, you can't hurt anything!
A cheep volt meter cost about $12.

NOTE: When looking at the "Pin Outs" in the diagrams, note the location of the retaining device for the moldex, it should help you to orientate the pin out locations. Looking at the colors for the pin out locations is very helpful too!

Okay you can also try using a different molex for the video card. I knew on one of my PSU's, for some reason one of the molex's just didn't like the card but all of them were fine..it was just that one..
