Will this PSU be enough?

Hello,
i have a sonata II case with the smartpower 450w psu
http://www.antec.com/specs/SP450_spe.html

Would it be able to handle the following:
- evga 680i mobo
- e6400
- 8800gts 320
- 2 IDE harddrives (160 + 250)
- dvd-rw
- 2 120mm fans

I do not plan to OC as of now.

any input would be appreciated.

15A and 17A says it is worthy of holding the card

But it is generic. Which is bad news.

I wouldn't put an 8800 anywhere near that thing!

So yes, it would power the card. But for how long is something you need to consider. I doubt it would last more than 3 months

A lot of them are

But 450W are hardly built strong by any company. They don't expect heavy use out of them

With there been two rails. You lose amps by combining them anyways.

Did you just purchase this PSU or can you upgrade?

That system will be quite a stress on the PSU.

It isn't crucial that you upgrade, but it's definitely worth thinking about

Ya I wouldn't trust it with that hardware get a nice 600W from another company like OCZ,Coolermaster,TT, or PC P and C.

The Smart Power by Antec isn't a generic.

If your not OCing the system or vid card it may be fine.

Thanks for the input guys. I know i was pushing the limits, and i'm sure it will run the setup for awhile, but as you say over time it's all in the air.

@ Duke, no idea why i even put generic. But even so, i don't think it will hold his system for long

Also i would take the Corsair over the 700W

I have seen a few reviews were the 620w has firmly held 2 x 8800GTX with no stability issues.
