To even get XP on a system, its got to be a dual-boot **** *** PWNZOR machine from some vastly overpriced company thats watercooling an E6300 clocked at 2.5GHz or some crazy dumb crap like that.
Hmm... A well-considered point, sir. Sometimes it's easy to forget that we enthusiasts, most of whom are far more well-informed and knowledgeable lot than the vast majority of the market, are really just a very small school of fish in a vast ocean. Even accounting for some OEM retailers (Dell) who now give the consumer the option to choose which Windows OS they want, that's still a very small portion of the market.

Yeah, all I've seen is driver problems, and someone stated once in a thread that it's only worth it if you have a DX10 card.

Most people are finding that Vista is a faster running system. I'm not denying that its slower for you, i'm just saying you may be one of the few with this problem.

And just so you know, when people talk about a speed of an OS, they're not referring to 3Dmark scores.

To say that XP is a BETTER OS (not referring to the above post) is just plain ignorance. Microsoft is not a stupid company. They may be big overweight and too in love with themselves at times, but they're not idiots. Whatever worked right for them in XP, they will take into vista. Whatever was sub-par in XP will be improved. Plain and simple.
