Memory Advice: Crucial, Patriot, G.Skill, or OCZ?

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if I could have your opinion on these four kinds of ram that I have been keeping my eyes on for the past few days, planning on building in together with the Intel Q6600, 8800GTS 320MB, and most likely a P35 Chipset. I was wondering how you guys feel about these RAM as far as Peformance, you guys can neglect the prices if you wish. I would love to get the best performance for overclocking. If possible, could you rank them in the order that you find them superior. Here they are:

Crucial Ballistix DDR2-800 4-4-4-12
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820146565

Patriot Extreme Performance DDR2-800 4-4-4-12
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820220144
http://shop2.outpost.com/product/5283387/

G-SKILL HZ DDR2-800 4-4-4-12
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231065

OCZ Platinum Revision 2 DDR2-800 4-4-4-15
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820227139

Well guys, thanks in advance for your input! I'd really like to hear what you guys think about the 4 kinds of memory and how they perform against each other. Their prices are pretty cheap as far as I'm concerned, so I'm just wondering how you guys feel about them. Thanks in advance!

Thanks,
Brian

Here's a nice review for a lot of the DDR-2 800 kits.

crucial is known to overclock to the moon, much like the G.Skills. I love patriot ram and im pretty sure they use the same or similar chips as the HZ's (i think or thats what i heard correct me if im wrong) and the OCZs are good too they are made to overclock as well. You cant go wrong with any of those choices though but i would get the Patriots because they are made in America and they overclock well and the price is just right after the rebate

I agree, what ever is the cheapest wins. They are all great sticks.

Go for those Ballistix. I got those at buy.com on sale, for just $109.99 / $79 MIR, and they went to DDR2-1000, right out the box.

Patriot IMHO at that price.

I own both the ballistix and the HZs and am very happy with both of them. Right now I would steer you toward the Ballistix due to price.

also check these out:
http://www.buy.com/retail/product.as...70&dcaid=17070

If I didn't already have too much ram, I would buy these just for the sake of buying them. 1066 @ 5-5-5....and still room to overclock. great sticks.

Awesome! Thanks everyone. Yeah, The Crucial and Patriot are going for great prices right now. I always wanted to get the GSKILL HZ - it's just the price that makes me think twice. Although it's still cheap, the $90 Patriot and $80 Crucial makes it so tempting.
