read the newegg reviews. ill mainly use it to play cs:s and ut3. counter-strike:source is a badly optimized game. i think this card will help me out and give me an advantage over other players with the physics :]

You do know that 90% of newegg reviews are BS, right? CS:S is not badly optimized, in fact it's pretty well optimized and so is HL2. Low-end hardware can play them just fine. Where are you getting your info?

CS:S is not badly optimized. It looks great and can be played on 6 year old hardware. It won't give you any advantage over other players if you get a physics card.

a celeron 2.6 512mb or ram and 16mb Intel extreme2 graphics can run it on 40-60fps using a software renderer.

8800 series cards have a physx GPU built into them. No need for a physx card.

Also, you can get a great video card for 140$, hell you can get a Pentium D 805 and a 7600GT all together for 130$!!! With that, you will be playing maxed out with no lagg! Assuming you have a compatible mobo (LGA775).

You should upgrade your cpu first. An e4xxx will do well with an 8800, so will the X2's but with C2D you won't have to worry about bottlenecks.
