K well I just re-sat the heatsink, took it all apart, sat the board on standoffs and still no luck.
Just turned off after a few seconds...

i dont know what to tell you man .

did u get the board from newegg

if u did then thay have a fast RMA process

what else can you tell me about the system?

a little more info would maybe help me think of something else

grounding was my first thought but i guess it may be something much more complicated

Probably just a stupid suggestion, but your PSU is on 120V mode right...? Because It will start for a few seconds and power off it its switched to 200~ w/e volt mode...

I think ive worked out what the problem was.... the CPU

Ive tried the P4 in my Asus P5W and it did exactly the same.
So I tried my E6300 in the Abit board and its fine.

CPU must be buggered, i'll post a thingy in the Wanted section for a cheap Skt 775 CPU.

Thanks for all the help people
