UPDATED: Project: Making IBM T22 (look) fast (56K Warning)

So I recieved a FREE IBM T22 laptop from some guy my grandma works with who is a Linux head. Anyways, I recieved it with a bunch of adhesive all over it and I started cleaning it up and I decided to paint the dull face with some Satin Black Krylon Fusion.

Looks good right? So I took a pic...

Note: This is after the Satin Black. I didn't get the back or bottom, which remained a dull, rough dark gray.

Tonight I actually disassembled the laptop (2 freakin hours by the way...) and painted all the parts I figured to be visible when assembled. I will have pics tomorrow, as it's 11PM and I don't feel like going to take some. That is... unless someone really wants pics. The laptop won't be going together until 7 days after paint as that's what the can says and I want the finish to last...

Today I painted my buddy's old HP Brio and the corresponding monitor blue. Looks so good, I have to give props to Krylon's Fusion paint. It is indeed amazing.

UPDATE: So I have the thing almost completely assembled. I was worried it wouldn't work but I was scared when I booted to make sure it worked. I got an error and went to BIOS. Set the time and rebooted. All worked wonderfully! I just have to hunker down and put the lid on and a couple small things. Woo!

Matches the Mx-518 nicely. But then again what doesn't go good with a MX-518.

Painted IBM FTW

Haha believe me. I dropped a screw and about cried.

I'm going to go out there and do another coat and take some pics... you get to see my huge mess and my bike!

EDIT: Got some pics for you guys. The finish isn't discernable in the pics but you can see the color and the painting environment...

The last one is just a project of mine aside from this. Bored of the green mountainbike so I figured I'd build my old street bike up.

Hehe thanks... I'm having doubts on getting it all back together and functional though.
