Crysis runs on DX10 notebook

If it all sounds rosy, then it isn't quite - the writer admits that, "Even running on a top-of-the-line PC, the framerates still frequently shuddered," but we're amazed that a mid-range mobile part managed the game with any aplomb at all, frankly.

So will we see a better gaming experience on Crysis than we have on some of the half-hearted Xbox 360 conversions we've seen recently? It seems we may, and that will surely be something to smile about. DX10 performance might not be quite such a crisis, after all.

But the main review is from another website. The INQ is just reporting on it.

No.. it's www.dignews.com

If anyone cares for the specs of the 8700M:
Stream Processors: 32
Core Clock (MHz): 625
Shader Clock (MHz): 1250
Memory Clock (MHz): 800
Maximum Memory: 512MB
Memory Interface: 128-bit

It is a slightly slower 8600GTS. If this article is true, a overclocked 8600GTS should also be okat 1280x1024. A 8800GTS will be more than enough power.

Toshiba has only two Satellite notebooks with the video card:
http://www.toshibadirect.com/td/b2c/...HO&poid=383433
http://www.toshibadirect.com/td/b2c/...HO&poid=383432
They are using a T7100(1.8GHz) and T7300(2.0GHz), respectively. Both run at 1440x900.
Once again...

maybe but when they say top of the line they mean 4gigs DDR2/3 and a quad core with a 8800GTX (or 2) as well has a fast hard drive, most people here have a 7200 RPM hard drive and dual cores with 2 gigs of DDR2 800 with a 8800GTS (not to sure on the cards theres a lot of them),form what i have seen and they said that the fame frates still shutter i think ATi and Nvidia need to step it up a bit and come out with some realy hard core cards

imo, its all speculation... the game designers want it to run with the specs they say it will...

The only thing we can really do, is wait for the game to come out, and see how much "optimization" they are really going to do until the release...

all this speculation makes it hard to find the facts...
