FuZion, one complaint

Thread Starter
Just replaced a Storm with a FuZion and have one complaint about mounting. The two barbs to too close together. Using the 1/2" barbs and Clearflex tubing it is a bit** to get my hose clamps down. I'm using clamps that look like this although mine look thicker than the ones shown. You need clamps that are thin. Guess I can go back to the metal clamps.

Otherwise, great block.

I used two small zip-ties per fitting.

Oh, you seem to have forgotten a link?

Thanks for the tip. Some how I think of zip ties leaking but they must work for you.

Yeah it's a tight fit, this is mine with 7/16" ID - 5/8" OD Tygon and worm drive clamps, worked ok. I have heard of one other person get 1/2" x 3/4" on there, but I think they had to slip the clamps and hoses on at the same time.

It's definately one of those where you want to mount the tubing there first on a table and work your way out..

Nice setup Martinm210!

I think I may grind the clamp thickness down a little. If I don't twist the clamp, they should take the hoop stress. I'll test outside the computer before trusting it, OBVIOUSLY.

You can get better smaller clips?

Where? Got a place to buy on-line. Standard hardware store?

Yeah I was able to put 3/4" OD Tygon tubing with worm gear hose clamps on my Fuzion...just.

Like Martin said, I started without the Fuzion installed on my mobo, I then slid both ends of the tubing over the barbs, and then slid down both hose clamps at the same time. This way I was able to avoid getting them caught on each other. It was tight, but works well.

I've been using zip ties in my setups since I start water cooling 6 months ago, and I've never had one fail me. You can get a pretty darn tight grip on the tubing with zip ties.

Actually that's an old pic, this is what it looks like now:

I just need to pick up some blue UV dye from petras to get my blue reactivity up a bit.
