i some how toasted one of my 6800gt's so now im down to just one, what would be a good upgrade that will not cost me a fortune. say no more than 140. preferably nvidia thanks.
i would do a search but right now i need to finish my unnessisary format of my computer and reinstall everything again lol. and to think it was my video card stopping me from booting and not a currupt windows enviroment

If the user says one, I'd go with the 8600GT.

if that one card will work better than my 2 6800gt's did when they were working together then yes one card will be great for me, right now if it helps the only game i play is swg (yea i know but i like the sorta starwarsy feal it kinda has left)

will i have problems were that card does not have a power slot for extra power??
both my 6800's had to be hooked up to a power sorce as well as the mobo

I don't really know how well SLI 6800GT performs.

The 8600GT performs similar performance to 7600GT ~ 7900GT

You can look for benchmarks here.

http://www23.tomshardware.com/graphi...=854&chart=277

Choose whichever card you'd like. Then look for the "blue" bars in the chart.

Yep i think two 8600Gt's SLI would be great, perform better than the two 6800GT's of coarse,8600GT's are not that expensive.

$200 for SLI 8600GT > SLI 6800GT

eVGA is good with their rebates. So breaking that $60 will worth it IMO.
