Hey guy, i really need some input on this...

the choices:
IBM T61
14.1 WXGA+ TFT
Intel® Core™ 2 Duo T7500 (2.2GHz 800MHz 4MBL2)
2 GB PC2-5300 DDR2 SDRAM 667MHz SODIMM Memory (1 DIMM)
100GB Hard Disk Drive, 7200rpm
Intel Turbo Memory 1GB
DVD Recordable 8x Max Dual Layer, Ultrabay Slim
NVIDIA Quadro NVS 140M (128MB)
*$1800 (cnd)

Asus W7S
13.3 inch Transflective TFT (widescreen)
Core 2 Duo T7300
1536 MB (max 1536 MB)
160 GB, 5400rpm
SD, MMC, MS, MS Pro reader
DVD writer
Nvidia Geforce 8400M G
*$1730 (cnd)

**both will be upgraded with another SODIMM of 2GB

What i'm looking for:
- Small size
- Not a big fan of overheating laptops
- GAMING - can play HL2 very decently would make me happy
- Decent battery life
- DX10 decently? maybe? hoping?

I've been reading all over the internet trying to find out of the NVS 140M is good for coming and i keep getting 2 sides, it's good and it's bad...

My experience...

I tried the W7S, crazy heat issues it gets hot like mad and because of the HDD (correct me if i'm wrong) it took me like 45mins to install HL2, which didn't make me happy....but size is very nice and the Geforce on it i know is very decent (correct me if i'm wrong again)

The T61, i love the strenght and how fast i can process, the only thing really holding me back is the video card, but i don't want to get the T61p cause of it's size. I also heared the cooling is very good on the T61

I saw this site but i personally don't believe it... for some reason...unless someone can correct on why it makes sense...

Your input would help me soo MUCH...
and both of them end their deals at the end of this month...
SOO it's like an ASAP situation...

Most of what I've heard about Quadros is that the only difference between them and their gaming counterparts are the drivers.

I'd definitely go for the T61. I love everything about my R61. Mine doesn't have heat issues, Speedfan reports that all temps are below 40 C, with the HDD temp highest. Unfortunately, I don't know how much more heat your GPU would give out...

BTW, about your Asus, you posted this "1536 MB (max 1536 MB)" does that mean there's no upgrade possible? that could pose a problem when you upgrade to 2 gigs.
