umm unless I am mistaken that is a little bit of a religious reference (in your thread title) and I don't think we are supposed to talk about that sort of thing in this forum.

I think you made some good choices so far. Have you decided on a case? I see you left it off either list.

1. Hard drive, Go for what ever ~$60 gets you, don't worry about the raptors, in my opinion they are a little over rated, maybe if this was an ultra high-end build, but not a mid range.

2. Cooling device, this depends strongly on the case, if you have room, here are some good ones:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835154001
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835118020
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835109140
Again, only a few, look around at the review sites, and you might find others.

Here is a pretty good motherboard that will also support SLI should you feel the need for speed later down the road. The first one uses the deluxe chipset (680i), the bottom one uses a stripped down chipset (650i)

For your graphics card, I will recommend some ATI and Nvidia that way you will be prepared whether you choose a board that supports SLI or Crossfire.
I recommend that you check Ebay for any item you wish to purchase, you can sometimes get a good bargain for it.

Nvidia:

you should check out these charts (make sure to compare them in various games), they are pretty helpful:

the 6750 does have the 1333mhz FSB, and I do know the the P5N-E supports the 1333 FSB, and so does the P5N32-E, though they support much more than that through overclocking ^_^

unless you get it on ebay or used or something, a 8800gts deal is probably not going to get better than that for atleast a few months. - i think
