1950gt HEAT!!!

well i was just wondering where the gt should be idling at while at stock and what should full load be?

i did some mild moding, i replaced some of the rubber heat pad under the sink that go over the memory and i also used some AS5 on the gpu itself. im still using the stock cooler.

my idle temp at stock is 49-50C
at full load i can reach almost 67C

now when i start to overclock it , stable at 634mhz gpu/756mhz mem

i idle at 55C

Full load at 77C.

is that too hot!!!

do u think i mest up by messing with the cooler or did i just not put it on properly?

my system crashed a couple minutes ago when the temp got to 79C

kinda made me worrie

You will be fine if it crashes. As long as you didn't add excessive voltage, you have nothing to worry about. As for the temps. I'm not sure what the temps should be like on the 1950GT, but for reference, my X1800XT used to run at 82C max load and never showed any problems.

Perhaps you should consider a cooler from Zalman?

the VF7-00 CU or the Vf-900

The VF-700 CU did wonders for my hot and loud X850XT

Good luck!
