Need Dell Dimension 9200 PSU to handle 8800GTX

Thread Starter
The Dimension 9200 comes with only a 375W PSU, and yet they offer the 8800GTX as an option, how can this be? Does anyone know of a PSU that A. Will power the 8800GTX, AND, also fit inside the 9200 chassis, the insides of them have three tabs for helping hold up the stock PSU and give fitment issues, also need to make sure the power switch won't cause any issues either.

Thanks.

I assume they will switch the PSU out for something more powerful.

I hope they would. My friends brother has a 8800 GTS running on one of those dell 375 watt psu's and it works fine somehow.

It's not that they under rate thier power supplies, it's just that most others over-rate them. The ps I have right now is supposedly 530w, and I don't know anybody that would try hooking up even 480w of draw on it. They say that only 30-70% draw is recommended with almost any power supply. But not so for Dell.
hOPE THIS HELPS
