So I got my Mushkin Redline today

And Im seriously not that impressed. At stock volts and stock speed I can get the timings to 2.5-3-2-5 which is ok I guess. But when I try to oc these puppys past stock (ddr500) I need way looser timings of like 3-4-4-10. This is a abomination, as I know how these amds like tighter timings. In benchmarks Im better of at stock than ocd, as the looser timings really hurt performance. So any one looking at the redlines for a final upgrade for ddr not worth it. Lucky I got them as a gift.

Yeah my old corsair, although being just a 1gig kit would do 238 @ 2.5-2-2-5, I just needed a 2 gig kit, and the professional reviews online sounded good. Guess I got raped, lol.

if you want tight timings...you want 2x512 sticks...2x1gb sticks...that's about where you're lookin at.

These are 2x 1gig sticks. I got the matched dual channel kit to replace my corsair. I am only using 2 sticks.
Edit: This is what I got, http://www.mushkin.com/doc/products/...ail.asp?id=273

Edit: Ok Ive found a sweet spot, at 545mhzddr at 3-4-4-8 timings my benchmarks are up on read write and copy, just the latency slowed a little obviously.

My redlines are awesome. Can do 277 (DDR554) on 3-3-2-8, stock volts (do NOT raise volts above 2.7C - it kills Infineon memory).

Check your secondary timings aren't holding you back (the OTHER lot of timings).
