Plain scenery? Not to be a jerk but how many mgs games have you played?

MGS has always had very good environment detail ever since Sons of Liberty, and mgs 1 had good detail for its time.

Not to mention the setting of MGS4 is in the middle east which has a sort of plain scenery as it is.

...Back to the topic, I think that this game is going to be very good, I like the functionality that they've added to the game, the over the shoulder view is very Splinter Cell-esque, which is kind of disappointing however the game still isn't out, and I doubt that they'll let the game be released with fps lag.

HOWEVER, MGS2 always had lag on the first snake mission when you were on the cargo ship's deck, if you went into first person view you'd get fps lag, but it was never a big deal because if you were on the deck for that long you probably weren't that good. But the lag didn't seem to have any effect on the aiming or anything because the game would go along with the lag and actually turn itself around to be sort of slow but not choppy. (Olga Gurlukovich fight)

I really think this will be like all the other mgs games... just... better

I just bought a PS3 and I've haven't played any MGS games but this really impresses me! The graphics, the detail, and realism is good stuff. I'm going to get MGS:4 for sure!

Thats going to be one ownage game. I think it will be a good climax to the ''Solid'' series. I played every MGS game with a passion. This looks to be one hell of a game.

i think you need to ask your self have you ever played one! I have play all the PS and nintendo versions as will as the gamcube and xbox versions of the games and none of then look as plane as this,This game is set in the middle east where war has raged for years, and look that the environment,it looks as clean as my house, sure the walls are broken but thats about it,the ground is very flat with no detail and there are a few boxes and thats it.theres no dead bodys,plantes/weeds,shell cassings,or fragments form any othere objects that could have been there or blown up there,And you cant realy compare this to the othere MGS games becuase this is a hole leap ahead of them they where good for there time but this looks bad it should look a lot and i mean a lot better than it does.25GB blu ray disk with all that room for textures! AND THE GROULD IS STILL FLAT!!!!!!!.
