MGS has always had very good environment detail ever since Sons of Liberty, and mgs 1 had good detail for its time.

Not to mention the setting of MGS4 is in the middle east which has a sort of plain scenery as it is.

...Back to the topic, I think that this game is going to be very good, I like the functionality that they've added to the game, the over the shoulder view is very Splinter Cell-esque, which is kind of disappointing however the game still isn't out, and I doubt that they'll let the game be released with fps lag.

HOWEVER, MGS2 always had lag on the first snake mission when you were on the cargo ship's deck, if you went into first person view you'd get fps lag, but it was never a big deal because if you were on the deck for that long you probably weren't that good. But the lag didn't seem to have any effect on the aiming or anything because the game would go along with the lag and actually turn itself around to be sort of slow but not choppy. I really think this will be like all the other mgs games... just... better
