Awww. 10.1 I see. One feels sorry for DX10 hardware as of right now. Its a nice card with a bad price tag...again. Also why in all that is holy would you need a card that powerfull ?..apart from graphical designers and so on. For an average user its not worth it IMO.

DX10.1 isn't a big deal and is backwards compatible. It implements a feature that allows developers to adjust AA on the fly. Let's see developers implement DX10 effectively first.
Once again...

Yeh it looks like the spec of a 2900 xtx, 512 memory controller, gig of ram, built in audio, built in tesselation.

I do think that edram will make a huge difference though. Isnt that how AMD whooped Intel for a while when they put the cache on the die itself?

Yeah its not to major I guess. However I think it would be prudent for developers to get to grips with the basics of DX10 first before moving on to much.

If this thing performs as promised and is delivered at the price shown, 8800 prices are going to fall through the floor...

edit: I know they are 65nm and all but these things had better not draw more than 200w

Yeah...I can see that now. I just got excited. I would never do any thing based off of some one's forum post. I research for at least a week. I am sticking to my orignal plan for now. However, if this was official that the 9800's were coming in November with very little chance of being delayed...yes...I would return my 8800GTS in a heart beat to make sure I could use the step up program just to save me the hassel of trying to sell my current card to buy a new one.

However, at this time I can't find any thing else to confirm this info...so I am pretty much dis-reguarding it.
