Free 4xAA means that you would get the exact same performance from running 0xAA as you would get from running 4xAA, thus, you get 4 times the AA for free.

This looks amazing, good thing I waited (and I hope these are true!).

Dang I knew I should have waited another week. Maybe I should return my 8800GTS and just take the 15% restock fee bullet. Get a eVGA card in the first or second week of August and you will be guarantied a step up to the new cards.

Do you think these are the real prices that will be on the 9800gtx when it comes out in November because I would really like to put a computer together around one of these cards. My price range would be $1,500 because I already have alot of the fans, sound card, 700Watt Game Extreme OCZ power supply and the CPU fan if it will fit on the socket for a 45nm. quad core intel.

that's some very crazy specs. Looks like ATI will have a hard time playing catch up again.

My guess is that these are the prices retailers will pay for them. We'll have to pay slightly more then this but still alot better then a $800 price tag as we've seen in the past.

It will also depend on if ATI has any thing deceent at the time...I see that the HD2900XT is getting a little better with every driver, but I think its starting to taper off. Its max potential is near...for DX9 any way. Nothing can even be guessed at for DX10 yet.

what else do you think NV people do all day
people are constantly working on the next big thing here
you don't stop working when you release something
at most what we do is go out for an expensive dinner lol
then back to work on the next thing
that's the same with every company
you're always working on the next thing"

Sorry I wish I could get a picture but she would never.
Cmon Zedsky admit it...shes just pouring coffee for some tech whos working on some re-release drivers for the 6800 cards

How? If ATI designed the Xbox 360's GPU (Xenos) which was equipped with eDRAM?

That's the worst logic I've ever heard. So, because he has a friend that works for a company, he CAN'T have a product from a different company? It's not like everyone that works for nVidia gets free cards for themselves and all their friends.

Hold on a god-damn second.

You're considering loosing money because of a comment on a review site on an article that was posted in March. Then your considering buying the same card in a few weeks, only to be elligible for a step up program within a timeframe that hasn't been officially announced by nVidia.

*** is the world coming to?

That's what I just did... looks like it was one heck of a good choice too considering I sold it for a bit more than I paid.
