PS3 light scratches

Thread Starter
I found that the PS3 has slight surface scratches on the bottom when I had it on the carpet. I have used microfiber towels to prevent scratches when dusting it and it has yet to scratch other surfaces.

Any remedy to remove the scratches?

Is it metal or plastic? If it's metal, I would just buff it out. If it's plastic, I think it'll be a lot tougher. Why do you feel the need to, anyway?

Its only out of curiosity and it is for the plastic shell. I can only notice it if I shine my bright Cree LED flashlight on it.

I think your talking about hairline scratches, those are easy to get rid of. I just got my Wii back yesterday from my friend and I noticed a gash on side of the case as I was cleaning it. I'm never letting anyone borrow it again..

Well its light scratches that can only be seen under certain lighting conditions. I have my PS3 in vertical stance and I won't let anyone borrow the PS3...let alone touch it.

If it's on the bottom what does it matter? Or did you have it upside down and mean the top?

I mean the bottom if its place horizontally. I have it at vertical stance meaning the scratches are visible, but only visible under certain light conditions.
