I loved that game, it is very tough, but that is a very nice thing, then of course it is one of those games that if you take your time, and do all of the secondary objectives, it is almost too easy.

Don't forget there are lots of cheapskate things you can do, like post your upgraded powerhouse units, when they are max rank, pull them off the line for repair and move fresh rank 1 guys up, rinse and repeat til you have a fully upgraded strike force.

It's the only RTS I've ever had fun playing. I play it with my bosses sometimes during lunch. They play at home, and thus own me at it. It's still kind of a fun break from FPS.

I definitely think it is the fastest RTS ever created. Try playing Panzer general, on a Pentium I, turn based no less. People just need to have patience.

I love C&C3 it has a good single player story line, not very long if you play on easy but who dose that these days l33t all the way, after you finished that play a few games skirmish on hardest and set them up on rush once you can handle your self well, start playing online.

That is were the real challenges start cause there is no telling were or with what the other guy is going to have waiting or attacking with.
start off with playing unranked games till you get over a fear of messing up and come up with a few good ways to defend and attack, Then play ranked games to see how fare you can get your rank up. At first your rank goes up fast even if you loose but after rank 10, you have to start winning to get higher at a good rate but loosing you still get XP.

The higher your level the easer it is to get in to some good ranked games to rank up faster as well but a lot harder the higher up the ladder you go. The higher the opponent the more XP you make off winning or loosing.

In all and on topic i would recommend the game, to any one that is even interested in looking in its direction.
It is fun offline and can still be a challenge with single player AI settings and even harder online.

I have met some cool people and clans. Still have a great time meeting up with the clan for online tournaments.

If it is worth it?, No one can tell you if it is or is not, everyone to there own but it is a good game, title and a great starting off point in RTS.

If you want you could wait for the new Starcraft to be released, every one that i know and even my self has had fun offline and online, It is the same style of play but i guess more people have fun playing in space combat rather than a world conflict. I am also sure Starcraft will over take C&C3 prety fast in online play.
