Gfx card that will drop the least when G92 comes out?

im building a new computer now, and i need a graphics card. being in the age of AGP up until now, to build a new computer, i'd need a PCI-e graphics card. and G92 (2 times 8800GTX ) is what im aiming for

so which graphics card will drop in price the least when G92 comes out?
-x1950pro? cheap, can't drop anymore?
-8800GTS 320MB? expensive, but because top range, still woth a bit when G92 comes out?
-8600GT? cheap version for Dx10, so it's already at bottom of the price range?

planning to spend about £200 maximum, so GTX is out of question. GTS 320 is at top of my budget.

Well I don't think the X1950 Pro can go down much more.

The 8800 GTS's will both drop a fair bit.

The 8600 GT is in the same boat as the X1950. It shouldn't go down too much.

I say the 8600GT is expected to drop more in price. It is still a relatively new card.
Once again...

please also consider other cards like HD2600XT......

with x1950pro at £110, true, not much left to drop.

what about performance vs price drop? the which card will have the highest ratio (better performance, least price drop)

The X1950Pro is £83. The X1950XT is £105

the 8800's. Flagship products care a certain stigmatism that draws some uneducated people to buy them. Look on ebay, 7800GT/GS's will sell for $140 sometimes, 7900GS/GT's will sell for >$100. same is true for the 7800GTX compared to the 7900GTX.

seems like the X1950 series has the best performance-per-price-drop ratio.......

but for people who'd like Dx10 in their new machine for a while, which of those has the best performance-per-price-drop ratio?
