Widescreen Prob - BF2

Hey there.

Just reinstalled BF2 after many many months (maybe a year) of not playing =-O

Since then, I got a widescreen monitor. What resolution should I choose? I usually choose 1680x1050, but that isn't there. :-\\

You need to force the resolution in the BF2 shortcut:

"C:\\Program Files\\EA GAMES\\Battlefield 2\\BF2.exe" +menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +szx 1680 +szy 1050

Copy and paste that into the BF2 desktop shortcut and that'll do it. Be sure to start the game from the shortcut only, not AutoPlay from the CD.

To do this you need to modify the original bf2.exe shortcut.

Right click on the bf2.exe shortcut and it should say something like this in the "target" area

C:\\Program Files\\EA Games\\Battlefield 2\\BF2.exe" +menu 1 +fullscreen 1

Add this command +szx 1650 sxy 1050 at the end so it looks like this.

Quote:
C:\\Program Files\\EA Games\\Battlefield 2\\BF2.exe" +menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +szx 1650 +szy 1050
EDIT: Still house you beat me too it - Damn you 30second post limit

Isn't it 1680x1050? Lol, if he sets it to 1650x1050 it'll look odd.

+szx 1680 +szy 1050

Also, if you're bored of waiting for the introduction videos to go, add +restart in there too.

There's also a shortcut so you don't have to login either, +playerName <yournamehere> +playerPassword <yourpasshere> in the shortcut too

Makes loading BF2 a LOT easier.
