thanks for telling me what i know, in case you forgot to read I CANNOT SET NB TO ANY VOLTS WITHOUT HAVING POSTING ISSUES and this is what i was asking about

yea it is, and i CAN post, its just everytime i shut down i have to turn it on and off TWICE to post, its lame as ****, and then it will tell me my overclock failed (literally setting all to default and just changing nb) tel it to ignore or go into bios and it will boot fine

and FYI i read your "you don't know what's going on when you set voltages on auto" as like you dont know *** your doing, which is why i gave a nasty respone, but i think now that might not be what you meant

Whoa Jesus, excellent results man. Also, way to post the full board layout, that's awesome and really nice of you

I've got my G0 sitting next to me all packaged up waiting for a round of RMAs that plagued my world 1 day before it arrived... I wish I could play with it now

CPU Voltage Reference: x0.63
CPU PLL Voltage: 1.7
FSB Termination Voltage: 1.40
CPU reference volt = cpu vdroop trimmer..for adjusting the amount of vdroop to your cpu

PLL voltage = PLL chip voltage can be increased to run at extreme FSB's...[500mhz+]

FSB term voltage = this portion affects the GTLv reference and can help bring stability to an unstable system...only adjust upwards, when RAM is 100% stable and adding CPU vcore does not help to stabilize the OC.

---------

If you are having issued with your NB voltage...it might not be the NB at all...1.4v should be fine up to ~475mhz FSB. You should leave the NB at its default setting for that FSB and try raising the SBv and or the FSB Term.voltage.

do you know what the stock volts ar eon the PLL voltage and term voltage?

and what do u meen it might not be the NB? ive left it on auto for now since its runs stable (450fsb) with it auto, and doing anything else to it will give me post issues

I want to say, 1.4 or 1.5v is stock for the PLLv...but dont quote me on that..and its very possible your problem is related to another setting other than your NB. Lowering your cpu multi, would have upped your NB speed ~45mhz over your FSB, each time the multi is lowered...you could be running it too fast for lower voltages...or possibly the NBv droop is too low...you need to list more of your BIOS settings for some additional help.

*PS, I have not only noticed better stability with the NBv left on 'auto', but also lower temps, than if I had set the voltage manually to run stable at a given clock speed...go figure. Maybe, its 'uberauto'... 'cuz its working darn fine..i dont care what people say about leaving voltage selections on 'auto'...this is a newer mobo...maybe Asus is starting to get better with their auto settings..who knows.

ill write out my full setting on my next reboot (it will be while though as im running more stability tests) but i went LITERALLY one by one by one on the options that i had changec (im not ****ting you) rebooting 3 times per each option (im REALLY not kidding) the second i touched that NB voltage WHAM no post and i have to shut it on and off again twice to get it running again (at which point i set it back and it posted fine, then touched it again and no post)

:/

is there an option anyone can think of thats connected to that :/

IwubAMD, are you using the latest BIOS 0204?

I'm able to adjust NBv no problem on my P5K Premium.
