This would then give me a bit more space to rotate my HUGE NB cooler round to sqeeze under my CPU HSF. This would "hopefully" free up enough space to wedge a HR-05 Plus GPU cooler in. God this case is busy

Moving it down would be a good temperary solution. You probably wouldn't even see any performance loss considering that your CPU is holding that GPU back already.

Yeah agreed.

Also 2x cards creates more heat and uses more juice than a single 8800GTS I would imagine.

I'm thinking so also, I take it in CF I cannot increase that to 16x by 16x?

When I activate crossfire, the heat of my cards bumps up around 10-15C -_-

No. That is a motherboard feature. Hence the P5N32-E SLi. 32 Means 16 x 16, So you get the full bandwidth of both cards.

No. Looking at your mobo specs it is only a x16 board.
So either one x16 lane OR two x8 lanes

Same prob I have

With my sig rig I got a 3dMark06 of 10,888...that's running it three times and taking the average. However, 3DMark06 aside...what I got to say is the image quality is just mind blowing. At least for me...I went from a single x1950pro to this 8800GTS and the images are more crisp and life like. Like with my 1950pro I knew that one tree was farther away then another one. With the 880GTS you can "see" that one tree is about 2 feet farther away than another. I honestly did not think it was going to be much of a upgrade...man was I wrong.

I purchased the slightly cheaper eVGA with the stock 500MHz core. It still OC'ed to 645MHz which is the same wall the "superclocked" GTS's hit. Well the best I've seen is 700MHz...but all GTS's seem to be able to hit the low 600's at least)

You also have a better CPU. Thoes are good scores. *looks in sig* I broke
11K in 06 with my 6300 @ 3.1 and GPU @ 650/2100

yeah you have a point there.

I found the difference in image quality between my old card which was a 6800GT and my current card.
